MIWF-THE BODY SHOP INDONESIA URGE THE RATIFICATION OF THE PKS BILL
Makassar International Writers Festival (MIWF), menggandeng The Body Shop Indonesia, menggelar kampanye daring, untuk mendesak pemerintah menerbitkan Undang-undang Penghapusan Kekerasan Seksual (PKS).
Direktur MIWF Lily Yulianti Farid, menyebutkan, MIWF memang telah bekerja sama dengan The Body Shop (TBS) Indonesia sejak lama telibat dalam festival literasi di Kawasan Timur Indonesia ini dan terus memperhatikan perkembangan yang terjadi.
“Tahun ini memang kita gelar secara luring (off line), karena adanya pandemi, khusus untuk isu ini, tahun ini hingga International Womans Day. MIWF juga telah lama melakukan tidak ada panel lelaki semua. Saya sadar sebagai orang yang bertanggung jawab di MIWF yang memiliki 80% volunteer perempuan, maka sebagai komitmen pribadi saya sendiri, yang isunya perjuangan HAM dan Hak perempuan memang tercermin dengan tegas dalam program MIWF,”
Menurut Lily, sudah 8 tahun RUU PKS diwanakan, tiba-tiba terpental dari Prolegnas, sehingga hal itu membuat para pihak yang sudah berjuang sejak awal geram, termasuk pihaknya. Sehingga memang sudah harus melakukan gerakan, terutama yang berkaitan dengan isu perlindungan perempuan.
“TBS dari dunia usaha, terus menunjukkan kepedulian dan ikut kampanye pengesahan RUU PKS. Sementara, MIWF sendiri sebagai festival penulis punya kekuatan untuk meramu cerita, terutama untuk para penyintas, kerja sama dengan Fotografer asal Makassar,” ujar Lily.
Menurut Lily, desakan RUU PKS untuk menjadi UU, sebab produk hukum ini akan beroirentasi pada hak korban, memberi perlindungan pada korban, hak masyarakat, menuntut negara dan menghadirkan lingkungan yang harus bebas dari kekerasan,” jelas Lily.
Lebih lanjut, Lily menyebutkan, selama ini undang-undang yang ada hanya menghukum pelaku, sementaa RUU PKS, lebih spesifik, seperti pendampingan korban, penyembuhan trauma dan kerahasiaan identitas korban.
“Bagi kami, hal ini sangat penting agar segera disahkan. Juga sangat penting bekerja sama dengan berbagai pihak, sistem Pendidikan kita perlu membicarakan kekerasan seksual,” ujar Lily.
Lily mengaku, kejadian pemerkosaan yang terus terjadi sangat memprihatinkan, sehingga desakan untuk pengesahan RUU PKS, sangat perlu dilakukan oleh berbagai pihak, salah satunya yang dilaksanakan MIWF dan TBS ini.
Untuk selanjutnya, kata Lily, pihkanya akan bekerja sama dengan kampus, membuka ruang diskusi dan berbagai kerja sama yang bisa mendorong RUU PKS ini segera disahkan. Selama persiapan program, pihaknya telah mengidentifikasi beberapa hal, termasuk ruang bagi korban kekerasan seksual. Maka, hal yang perlu dilakukan adalah membuka ruang, fasilitasi percakapan itu, membantu terjadinya edukasi public.
“Kampanye yang paling ambisius yang dilakukan The Body Shop,” ujar Lily.
Suzy Hutomo, owner dan Execurive Chairwoman The Body Shop Indonesia, mengatakan, sebagai usaha yang 86% karyawannya adalah perempuan, mengaku sangat peduli terhadap penghapusan kekerasan perempuan dengan tagar #TBSFightforsisterhood.
Payung hukum yang berorientasi pada korban, ini panggilan kerja kemanusiaan, sehingga pihaknya ingin menjadi bagian pengabdi bagi peradaban, agar budaya kekerasan di Indonesia bisa dihilangkan.
Selama ini yang terjadi, para korban menjadi takut, trauma, bahkan hingga memilih mati.
“Tentu saja ini adalah perjuangan bersama, sehigga kami ingin bekerja sama dengan pihak-pihak lain. Tidak ada alasan untuk menunda,” ujar Suzy.
Menurut Suzy, isu ini cukup personal dan berharap semua peduli, semua terlindungi.
“Ini kesempatan kita untuk mendesak disahkannya RUU PKS,” jelas Suzy.
Usai ini juga, pihaknya akan menggelar aksi dengan mengumpulkan sepatu dan meletakkan di depan gedung DPR, memberikan hasil tanda tangan petisi sahkan RUU PKS ke komisi 8.
Sementara, aktris Hana Al Rasyid, yang juga aktivis dalam gerakan ini , mengatakan, setiap agama berpegang pada kemanusian dan pehaman orang pada RUU PKS itu bervariasi.
“Intinya di sini adalah menghentikan kekersan seksual, agar korban dapat pemulihan. Waktu RUU ini dikeluarkan dari prolegnas itu jadi tamparan. Kita harua tetap bergerak, kalau ada yang tidak setuju, ayo kita bahas untuk dapat jalan tengah, karena ini untuk semua orang,” ujar Hana.
Selain itu, dia juga mengajak edukasi diri masing-masing dan memulai dari lingkungan terkecil terebih dahulu. RUU PKS akan melengkapi UU yang lain, agar para penyintas atau korban tidak berjuang sendiri,” jelas Hana.

I am aware, as the person in charge at MIWF, that the festival has 80% female volunteers, so as my own personal commitment, the issue of the struggle for human rights and women's rights is clearly reflected in the MIWF program."
According to Lily, it has been 8 years since the PKS Bill was submitted. But it suddenly dropped off the legislative agenda, so that it made the parties who had been fighting to pass it since the beginning furious, including her party. Evidently, you have to make a movement, to convey the importance of protecting women.
"The FFB from the business world continues to show concern and participate in the campaign for the ratification of the Law on the Elimination of Sexual Violence. Meanwhile, MIWF itself as a writers festival has the power to compile stories, especially for survivors, in collaboration with photographers from Makassar," said Lily.
According to Lily, the campaign for the PKS Bill to become Law is because this law will support victims' rights, provide protection to victims, community rights and demand the state provide an environment that must be free from violence," explained Lily.
Furthermore, Lily said, so far the existing law only punishes the perpetrators, while the PKS Bill is more specific, guaranteeing victim assistance, trauma healing and the confidentiality of victim's identity.
"For us, it is very important that it is legalized immediately. It is also very important to cooperate with various parties, our education system needs to discuss sexual violence," said Lily.
Lily acknowledged that the continuing occurrences of rape are very concerning. Pressure to ratify the PKS Bill really needs to be applied by various parties, among which are MIWF and TBS.
In the future, said Lily, the team will cooperate with campuses to establish an open space for discussion and various collaborations that can push for the immediate passing of the PKS Bill. During preparation for these programs, her team identified several things, including the need for a discussion space for victims of sexual violence. Therefore, it's necessary to open up that space, facilitate that conversation, help it happen for public education.
"It's the Body Shop's most ambitious campaign," said Lily.
